In reply, page 84 of The Firestone Syndrome tells a tale that some Feds would like to hear. "This will be your first kill. You'll be a real Firestone cop now - KILL THE ASSHOLE". I may be wrong, but I think at one time or another, and probably several times during one's career at FPK, we each received a "Commendable Restraint" atta-boy vs. shooting some dummy that pushed us to the limit. I can think of situation after situation that I was in that could have ended with some low-life meeting his Maker. Having been trained and having worked with the bests damn street cops, sgt's and brass made us capable of making the arrest vs. taking a life. Yeah, most of those who pushed us to the extreme ended up 902H, but that was their choice. Yeah Bob, I also have mixed emotions, but Beeler did write, "The Firestone Syndrome as strictly a work of fiction". Hopefully the Feds will read that part as well. Take care, George
